After a lot of thought, we've decided to retire SvelteJobs.
First, the important part: we love Svelte. The framework, the ideas behind it, and the community that rallies around it. Getting to serve that community has been a genuine joy, and we're grateful for every job posted, every application sent, and every kind message along the way.
We didn't reach this decision lightly. A few things shifted over time:
- The Svelte job market simply hasn't grown into the booming space we hoped and believed it would become.
- The rise of AI changed how people pick their tools. Developers, and increasingly the agents working alongside them, each have their own preferences and worry far less about which specific language or framework the code is written in.
- Hiring itself is shifting. Teams are leaning towards empowering their medior and senior developers rather than bringing on juniors and mediors, which reshapes the kind of roles a board like ours was built to serve.
- And on our side, the two of us are now pouring our energy into different projects.
So this is goodbye, but mostly it's a heartfelt thank you. To every developer and every company who trusted us: thank you for the support. We wish you nothing but the best, and hope your next role is the best one yet. 🧡
